Torch system Frontpull 8i enhances quality and performance
The innovative Frontpull 8i increases the benefits of welding with process arm robots significantly. This applies to the process control speed and dynamics as well as the seam quality, time savings during programming and during welding operation – and also to a longer service life of wearing parts, and this is true even in difficult operating conditions as with the use of soft wires from a coil. The FP8i supports mircoMIG and microMIG-cc.

Torch with endless rotation and wire feed close to the process
Frontpull 8i combines two design principles. The proven Power Joint contributed the principle of the high-current rotary feedthrough. It turns the otherwise rigid link between the robot and welding torch into a flexible one. The result: The robot-controlled torch can rotate endlessly, even beyond 360°. Wire feeding, the flow of electrical current, electrical signals and inert gas work without restrictions. The second design principle is the wire feeding mechanism "close to the process". This innovation is only possible thanks to a high-quality and lightweight motor. This highly dynamic brushless 50W DC motor offers operational benefits that are typical for a servomotor. Its low weight allows positioning a 2-roll wire drive. This results in an extremely compact design. A second wire feed mounted on the robot arm supports the wire feeding process.

Frontpull 8i Lite: Best support for collision detection systems of robots.
The FP8i Lite was developed for supporting robots’ internal collision detection. The fixed/rigid torch neck allows the precise adjustment of the robot parameters.
