More Transparency, Simplified Integration, and Maximum Flexibility

With the new Fieldbus 6 (FB6), SKS Welding Systems introduces the next evolution of its proven fieldbus technology. Designed to connect welding processes, peripheral equipment, and automation systems even more efficiently, FB6 offers enhanced functionality while simplifying system integration in modern manufacturing environments.

A completely redesigned housing and an adjustable mounting bracket ensure greater flexibility during installation. At the same time, the integrated display now provides additional process information, including voltage, current, wire feed speed, and motor current, giving operators direct access to key welding parameters at a glance.

To further improve diagnostics and system monitoring, FB6 features additional status LEDs on the front panel, enabling faster identification of operating states and potential faults. New connection options also allow direct integration of peripheral components such as collision detection systems, wire-end sensors, air-blast control valves, and cleaning stations including eReam 2.0 and pReam.

Another significant advantage is the elimination of a separate power supply for sensors and actuators, reducing installation complexity and minimizing wiring requirements. For existing systems, upgrading from Fieldbus 5 (FB5) to Fieldbus 6 (FB6) is straightforward, protecting previous investments while providing access to the latest functionality.

Available in all common fieldbus versions, FB6 offers maximum compatibility and can be seamlessly integrated into a wide range of automated welding applications.
