SKS expands capacities
Five years ago, SKS Welding Systems GmbH relocated its headquarters from Landstuhl to the “IG Nord” industrial zone in the city of Kaiserslautern. The aim was to double production capacity. Now there is another expansion upcoming: SKS are investing five million euros in further buildings with a total area of 4,035 square meters. Production and assembly halls are erected and equipped with new machines and production facilities.
The investment will create additional jobs in the Kaiserslautern area. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2018. SKS have gained an international reputation as an innovation-driving system partner of the automotive and supplier industry. Their products are used by renowned manufacturers worldwide. The specialist for arc welding processes currently employs 83 people at their Kaiserslautern site.
