Sustainable production with solar power
The installation of a photovoltaic system with a peak output of 500 kW on the building of SKS Welding Systems GmbH in Kaiserslautern allows up to 75 percent direct consumption. The roof area of the company is thus optimally utilized. Combined with a 100 percent supply of green power, SKS products are even more sustainable in addition to being designed for a long service life.
At 100,000 kWh, the solar system's annual output exceeds the company's own power consumption, thus supporting local power supply. In addition, the internal IT infrastructure is equipped with a backup solution so that even in the event of a prolonged power outage such as a blackout, the operational readiness of the IT is fully guaranteed.
