Technology heroine for a day - a world of opportunities!
On Girls' Day 2025, we opened our doors to introduce schoolgirls aged 11 to 14 to the fascinating world of modern mechanical engineering. The day was a complete success and showed how important practical experience and hands-on learning are.
The schoolgirls experienced the production of a component up close - from the raw aluminum block to the protective coating of the self-welded component. Under the guidance of experienced employees, the girls were allowed to become active themselves: They learned how “their component” was constructed, how programming software works, used tools with their own hands and programmed a weld seam with a cobot.
The direct contact with SKS employees offered them technical insights and the opportunity for open discussions about training, required school qualifications and, last but not least, the power of their own commitment.
The feedback from the students was consistently positive and they grew beyond themselves on this day. The day spent together in production impressively demonstrated the skills they possess. We are proud to motivate and promote young talent with inspiring activities!
